Terms and Conditions
The following terms apply at The Webster as of 14th January 2014.
All domains are renewed on an annual basis, we will send out reminder emails 30 days and 7 days before expiry. We will send the emails to the email address on the account, it is the registrant’s responsibility to make sure their contact details are up to date.
The Webster take no responsibility if your domain renewal fails due to your contact details being incorrect. If you do not wish to renew a domain please make sure you contact us a minimum of 14 days before your domain expires by emailing us at domains@thewebster.co.
If you do not renew your domain before its expiry date it will have all services we provide suspended and you will have up to 30 days (protected period) after to renew the domain name at the original renewal fee. Please email domains@thewebster.co to request your renewal fees.
After 30 days your domain will be suspended and will go into a 60 day grace period which you can still renew your domain name but with an additional redemption fee . This must be requested by email before the 80th day after your domain has expired, after 90 days your domain will be cancelled and deleted from the register and made available for resale through a third party registrar.
The Webster will not guarantee the renewal of a domain name. All outstanding charges must be paid for in full before a transfer takes place. There are no charges for transferring domain names to a new Registrar, or otherwise terminating your contract with The Webster.
In relationships between consumer and retailer, a right of withdrawal exists by which the customer has the right of withdrawing an order until 14 days after placing the order but domains are unique and web spaces are individually manufactured and customized for the domain.
For a faster delivery of the product, The Webster will usually begin the manufacturing and customizing of the product as soon as the order is received. By ordering, the customer accepts that any right of withdrawal will be dismissed as soon as The Webster has started processing the ordered product.
Traffic is basically unlimited. However, traffic must be normal in nature and not disrupt that of other customers. If a customer’s traffic disrupts that of others, The Webster reserves the right to close the customer’s web space without notice and/or make a separate charge for the traffic. The Webster reserves the absolute right to decide whether or not traffic is excessive. On closure of a web space, no refund will be made of any subscription paid in advance.
The customer’s use of a The Webster’s subscription is entirely at his/her own risk. The Webster cannot be held responsible for the contents, including accuracy, lawfulness, completeness etc. of the information which the customer receives or sends via the Internet. The Webster can therefore not be held responsible for losses – direct or indirect – immaterial violations or other circumstances that arise as a result of the use of information found on the Internet. The Webster cannot be held responsible for losses or other circumstances that may arise as a result of unavailability of access to services or information on the Internet, regardless of the reason for such unavailability.
The Webster accepts no responsibility for any loss of personal data, including the loss or damage of installed software, etc. The Webster does not accept any responsibility for access gained by unauthorised persons to the customer’s data or systems or damage incurred as a result of this. The customer is responsible for any costs related to orders placed for services via the Internet and the use of payment systems on the Internet. Exemptions of liability contained in these Terms and Conditions apply even in the event of gross negligence on the part of The Webster.
Complaints
If you wish to raise a complaint about abuse you have received (phishing scams, spam emails etc), please contact us at info@thewebster.co with as much detail about the abuse. We will investigate your complaint immediately.
Here at The Webster we like to think we get it right all the time, every time but the truth of it is everyone gets it wrong from time to time. We can only improve on our services with valid feedback from you, our customers. If you wish to make a complaint about a service you have received, please submit an email to us at complaints@thewebster.co including as much detail about the issue you have.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 1 business day and aim to resolve any issues within 5 business days. If you’re not happy with the initial outcome of your complaint, than please feel free to escalate your issue to Nominet (the .uk registry)
Prohibited Material
Illegal material is not permitted on any of The Webster’s servers, whether this be images, film clips, other types of files or link to unlawful photos or similar material. For example, unlawful material is, but not limited to, copyright protected material or other material you are not entitled to publish or store according to legislation. Nor is it permitted to store erotic, pornographic or other offensive material on servers owned by The Webster.
It is entirely The Webster’s decision to determine whether material belongs to one or more of the above categories, and the company reserves the right to delete any such material at any time without notice. In the event of such material being deleted the customer cannot advance any claim against The Webster related to the deletion.
Agreement
By agreeing to purchase any service or product from The Webster you agree to Terms and Conditions specified on the Terms and Conditions page of The Webster
